Traveling Miami Solo

For my graduation present I decided to visit Miami for the first time. I was so excited since I heard many great things about South Beach. It was a pretty short trip and I was kind of nervous about traveling solo but I was more excited to see the city.

I found a deal through Craigslist and stayed at the Solara Surfside Hotel in SoBe. During my stay I visited the Little Havana district. I decided to go here because I loved the history of this town. I visited the strip of stores and beautiful restaurants. It reminded me of 42nd street but the scenery was much more beautiful. After my trip to the predominantly Cuban part of town, I decided to take a walk on the wild side and visited Jungle Island the following day.

This was a much needed getaway and celebration for finally completing college. I spent some time on the beach as well and really enjoyed this getaway trip to Miami. May 30th - June 4th, flight cost $194.70. Booking through VRBO = $400. 4 days 5 nights. Total spent for this trip? Under $600.
