The Br8kthrough Tour
As you’ve all noticed, I’ve been super quiet this past month. I haven’t been on social media because there was so much noise in my life that it took a toll on me. I wasn’t taking care of myself physically, spiritually or mentally. I wasn’t putting God first and I wasn’t taking care of self. I have to thank God for his LOVE and GRACE that I’m even alive typing this right now. Thank you to all those who have checked in on me.
I was recently invited to speak at @thebr8kthroughtour. I wasn’t in a position to promote it and almost didn’t show up. The enemy hit me with anxiety but with God I pushed through and shared what I could.
Pursuing Purity and Living with Godfidence is something I love to talk about. It’s not just about being celibate or not having sex. It’s a mindset and a lifestyle. Last year, I felt like I was on a roll. I was feeling great and confident about myself, thoughts were positive, reading the word and kicking it with God. I thought everything was good but that’s when I started to get attacked spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. I started back-sliding in my walk because I wasn’t putting God first like I thought and I wasn’t surrounded by like minded believers like we need to be. We don’t just need community, we need GODLY community to level us up and push us forward in Christ. Our walk with God will not always be smooth sailing. It’s more like a roller coaster ride but it’s totally worth it.
Though I wasn't able to continue forward with my workshop, I 'll share what I’ve learned from 2017-2018:
- Pursuing purity helps you mature in your christian walk
- Pursuing purity is necessary for spiritual and mental health
- Pursuing purity is not just about avoiding sin but pursuing godliness / holiness
- Pursuing purity is about maintaining integrity
- Pursuing purity is about recognizing and fighting temptations and avoiding distractions.
Thank you @laurinarochelle for your bold faith and for inviting me to speak and share the few words of wisdom I could! 💕💕
