Laurel DeWitt SS17 Runway Show
By every definition, Laurel DeWitt is an artist. Sculpting elaborate crowns and headdresses is her passion. Her trademarked goddess logo is fashioned after the first crown she created, which was featured in the Smithsonian Institute of African Art. Laurel has been commissioned to design and create one-of-a kind art installations for Macy’s Herald Square, and soon, various locations nationwide. Her work has been showcased in various art galleries throughout New York City as well.
Laurel DeWitt built her brand by reimagining the distinction between clothing and accessories while snatching the Fashion Week spotlight year after year. Beyonce adorned one of her captivating crowns in the video for Coldplay’s “Hymn For The Weekend.” Another DeWitt masterpiece drapes the Nicki Minaj wax figure in Las Vegas’ Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. Her breathtaking yet wearable alloy creations have been lauded across the industry. Her celebrity clientele includes Amber Rose, will.i.am, Steve Aoki, Lenny Kravitz, Lady Gaga, among others.
