3 Ways to Treat Your Body as a Temple

3 Ways to Treat Your Body as a Temple

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

1. Improve your health

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.

The more natural, nutritious things you consume the better you will feel. Physically, you’ll have more energy. Mentally, you’ll be more alert. And you’ll look good, because you feel good. Even I know that if you’re feeling good on the inside, you’re looking great on the outside.

Keep these three things in your kitchen at all times:

  1. Vegetables.

  2. Avocado.

  3. Water.

EXERCISE IS WELL, EXERCISE.

You hate it, or you love it. But everyone needs it. Those infamous endorphins make everyone feel better, and can only come from one thing. Go for a run, grab a skipping rope or do a dance class.

LOOK AFTER YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM.

It’s something you can’t see, but you can feel. The more good things you’re putting into it, the better you’re feeling. And not feeling. Making sure that you treat your body with love and respect all year round will mean that when the winter flu’s hit, you’re the girl bringing the soup not eating it.

Add these to your daily routine (especially in winter):

  1. Vitamin C.

  2. Echinacea.

2. Decorate and adorn your temple

Another way to show you love your body as a temple is to adorn it with your favorite accessories and show off your impeccable style. Look GOOD! Maintain your upkeep by doing your hair, make up, having pampering sessions, wearing flattering clothing and whatever else you can do to love on yourself!

3. Honor it as sacred

If your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, you should honor your body as sacred and as a living sacrifice unto God. Honor it as a sacred place where only honorable and legal sexual experiences take place and as the home of a spiritual entity. You don’t open the doors to people that don’t agree with you or have hidden agendas. You open the doors to your temple when someone has received permission from God. Your temple is also a place of worship. Including worship into your life will help you combat negative experiences and renew your mind daily.
